Verify addresses: Always compare first and last 6 characters on both devices
Check transaction details: Amount, destination, network fees — verify everything before signing
Use Visual Fingerprinting: Match the visual pattern between sending and signing devices
One operation at a time: Complete each transaction before starting another
Watch for warnings: SentinelGuard alerts require immediate attention — do not dismiss

Properly close XColdPro: Use the application's exit function (triggers automatic EMBO memory wipe)
Safely eject USB: Always use "Safely Remove Hardware" — prevents data corruption
Secure storage: Store USB drive in safe, locked location when not in use
Disconnect completely: Remove USB from computer — physical air-gap restored

Check seed phrase backups annually — verify paper is legible, ink hasn't faded
Test recovery procedure — periodically restore from seed on a separate USB drive
Update XColdPro — install updates from official portal when available
Monitor USB drive health — replace drives showing wear (3–5 year recommended lifecycle)
Review beneficiary information — keep Lazarus Protocol beneficiaries, attorney/executor contacts, and recovery instructions current (HellBound/Nyxor)
