USB Binding

USB Binding
USB binding creates hardware-based 2FA by cryptographically linking vaults to your specific USB drive (serial number + volume UUID + drive geometry → SHA-256 fingerprint).
Enable Binding (Recommended)
Encrypted vaults only decrypt on this specific drive. Prevents cloud backup compromise and file-only theft. Physical 2FA without extra hardware.
Skip Binding
Wallet files remain portable across devices. Useful for testing, shared access, or frequent drive replacement. Reduced security.
USB binding can be configured during first-time setup or later in Settings. If your USB drive is lost or damaged, recovery is possible through your seed phrase on a new drive.
