What DOTs are

Digital Ownership Tokens (DOTs) are our framework for verifiable digital collectibles and ownership records. They are commemorative digital collectibles that recognise holders as supporters of the XDRIP portfolio and deliver tiered perks across our products, events and services. DOTs are the core protocol of our portfolio, with a status of Live.

DOTs can support holder status, access tiers, product perks, provenance and project-specific utility, depending on each experience.

Design principles

  • Utility-focused: prioritising transparency, security and dynamic functionality over speculation.
  • Inclusive: a versatile platform for collectors and supporters across many applications.
  • Rule-respecting: foundational rules respect the intent of the creators.
  • Documented: rights and holder status are recorded on an immutable blockchain ledger.

Key pillars

DOTs sit at the centre of several related efforts:

  • The Forge of Destiny: our flagship commemorative DOT collection. See The Forge of Destiny.
  • TRACE: blockchain-based authentication. See TRACE Protocol.
  • XECHO: decentralized music streaming. See XECHO.
  • XMarket: planned collector marketplace. See XMarket.
  • SkyWalk1000: a 1000-meter pedestrian bridge project.

Core advantages

  1. Security and transparency: transactions are traceable and recorded on a decentralized network.
  2. Access to benefits: holders may be granted specific benefits such as event access, discounts on additional projects and digital collectibles.
  3. Perks and recognition: product discounts, early access, branded merchandise, community events and recognition as a Charter Supporter.
  4. Digitalization of rights: author and holder rights represented on a transparent ledger.

What DOTs are not

DOTs are digital collectibles and utility records. They do not represent company ownership, issuer economics, governance control or regulated offerings. Tokenized real-world-asset offerings, such as real estate, are separate regulated products and are not part of the DOT offering.

Using DOTs in client projects

XDRIP Solutions can add DOT structures to new or existing platforms as part of blockchain integration, scoped to the client's technical, legal and operational requirements. See the XDRIP Solutions FAQ.
