Windows Installation
Never Install on Internal Hard Drive. Hard drives are always connected — always vulnerable. System drives generate logs, temp files, and swap files. XColdPro must run exclusively from removable media (USB drives, external SSDs, or SD cards).
Step 1: Prepare USB Drive
Insert USB (8GB+). Right-click → Format → File system: exFAT → Quick Format. Create folder: E:\XColdPro\
Step 2: Run Installer
Copy XColdPro-Windows-v1.x.exe to USB. Right-click → Run as Administrator. Confirm installation path points to USB drive.
Step 3: Verify Offline
Disconnect internet before first launch. Navigate to E:\XColdPro\XColdPro.exe. Confirm "Air-Gapped" indicator (green dot) is visible.
Windows Defender Note: Some antivirus flags unknown executables. XColdPro is clean — false positives occur because Python-packaged executables lack widespread code-signing. Add to exclusions if quarantined.
