Books and Comics

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Books & Comics is the Library's literary archive: epic sagas, illustrated chronicles and written works that expand the realm of Xdripia. These are the Universe's long-form fiction, as opposed to its reference material — works with authors, structure and intent, which use the world rather than describing it. A book here may take a Codex record as its subject and depart from the neutral register entirely, and that departure is the point.

What to expect from a work

Length and form vary: prose sagas sit beside illustrated chronicles, and a comic makes different demands on the reader than a novel does. Individual works have their own detail pages within the archive, with the information relevant to that particular work. Some also appear in the Multimedia Archives under the /book/{slug} route, where they are presented as media rather than as reading.

Reading fiction as evidence

A published work is canonical as a work: it happened, it says what it says. Whether an event inside it is a canonical event depends on how the Universe treats it elsewhere — a narrator can be wrong, and in this Universe frequently is, deliberately. When quoting a book to settle a lore question, quote it as a narrative source and check whether the Codex agrees.

Language

Long-form works are published primarily in Italian. Navigation is bilingual, so browsing the archive in English works even where the text does not.

Availability of individual works changes as the archive grows. The Library's own catalogue is the current list; this guide describes the collection, not its contents on any given day.
