Deliberations and Council Chronicles

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Two records sit behind the Council's current business, and they do different jobs. Strategic Deliberations is the archive of concluded decisions — the historical record of proposals that have shaped the future of Xdripia, kept with the reasoning that produced them. Chronicles carries official proclamations, announcements and stories from the chambers: the Council speaking publicly in its own voice.

Archive versus announcement

The deliberations archive is evidence. It shows what was decided and why, and it is the right citation for any claim about how the Council has ruled. Chronicles is communication. It is the right citation for what the Council has said, which is not always the same thing. Both are official; conflating them will misattribute reasoning to a proclamation or authority to a story.

Three kinds of chronicle in one Universe

The word appears three times and means something different each time. Council Chronicles are governance communications. Library Chronicles are the Universe's news and narrative updates. The Chronicle of Rulers is a Codex category recording sovereigns and their acts within the fiction. Keeping them apart matters when citing.

Using the archive well

Search it before forming a position on a live proposal. A Council with a memory is one where arguments accumulate rather than repeat, and the archive is where that memory is kept.

The Council governs the community, not the fiction. Its decisions are real decisions by real participants and are unrelated to the imperial law documented in the Codex.
