Privacy, Accounts and Connected Services

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Most of the Universe is readable without an account. The Codex, the Grand Library, the Multimedia Archives, the Asset Vault, the Celestial Atlas and the public parts of the Conclave are open to anyone. Accounts appear where something has to belong to a person: your profile and achievements in the Xdripian Sanctum, posting in the Conclave, governance participation in the City Council, your own state in Terminus, and orders in the Emporium. Knowing which of the three modes you are in — public, authenticated, transactional — explains most of what a surface will and will not let you do.

Three kinds of gate

Sign-in. Sanctum is authentication-gated and holds identity, profile and achievement state. Other verticals may connect to that identity rather than duplicating it.

Wallet. The City Council uses Web3 wallet connection for governance, and the Arcade dashboard accepts a wallet as one way in. Connecting a wallet is an identity action; it is not the same as signing in with an email, and it carries different risks.

Payment. Emporium checkout is a transaction with its own policies and its own data handling. Documentation describes the shape of the flow and nothing that belongs inside it.

Safety rules that never change

No page of this documentation will ever ask for a password, a recovery phrase, a private key or payment details, and no official flow begins from a link in a guide. Start authenticated actions from the vertical's own interface, typed or bookmarked. Treat any page that asks for a seed phrase as hostile regardless of how it looks.

A recovery phrase is never needed to read, browse, vote, play or buy. Anything requesting one is an attack, including a page that reproduces the visual design of an official vertical exactly.
