Origin material in the Codex is spread across several volumes rather than concentrated in one, which is deliberate: the Universe's beginning is argued from cosmology, from lineage and from law simultaneously. The Scroll of the Eternals and The Primordial Ledger are the two volumes that carry most of it, with the Astral Compendium covering the cosmological arrangement that resulted. Around them sit categories for the chain of manifestation, bloodlines of the celestials and the primordial compass — the frameworks that connect what came first to everything after.
The categories that carry origin claims
The chain of manifestation is the structural account of how things come to be. Bloodlines of the celestials connects origin to descent, which is why so many lineage records lead back here. The primordial compass orients peoples and forces against the cosmological frame. Primordial eras place all of it in time.
Reading origin material carefully
Origin records in this Universe are frequently written from a position — an order's account of the beginning is also a claim about that order's standing. That is a feature of the corpus, not a flaw in it, but it means comparing two origin records is more informative than reading either alone. Where they disagree, both remain canonical records of what is claimed.
Where to go next
Cosmology becomes geography in the celestial categories, and becomes law in the Lex Imperii. If an origin question keeps returning inconclusive answers, it is usually because it is really a question about one of those two.
The Universe section's cosmology pages are the plain-language layer over this material. Read those first if the tome vocabulary is unfamiliar.
