The Sfera Primordiale
Last updated: August 21, 2026
The Sfera Primordiale — the Primordial Sphere in English gloss — is the foundational cosmology of Tales of Xdripia. It is not a location you can visit and not a period you can date. It is the connecting framework: the thing that makes mythic realms, celestial geographies, beings, forces, cultures and stories parts of one continuity rather than a collection of settings. When the project describes itself, this is the first structural fact it states, and nearly every other concept in the Universe is defined by its position relative to it.
Why the original name is kept
You will see both forms in official material. The Italian original is the canonical name; the English gloss exists so the concept is legible to readers who do not have it. The gloss is not a replacement, and treating the two as separate concepts — a Sphere and a Sfera — is a misreading. When citing, prefer the original with the gloss on first use.
What it explains
The Sphere accounts for structure at three levels at once. It is a cosmological claim about how realms relate. It is a metaphysical one about how forces move between them. And it is a narrative one, because the histories, lineages and institutions of the Universe all situate themselves inside it — a faction's legitimacy, a bloodline's origin and a site's power are all argued in its terms.

The Universe hub introduces it for newcomers. The Codex holds the records that depend on it, spread across cosmology, celestial geography and origin categories. The Celestial Atlas renders the spatial consequences, letting you move through spheres, sectors and systems directly.
If a lore text seems to assume you already know what a "sphere" is, this is the concept it means — not a planet and not a physical shell.
